Nanotechnology is an important part of the technological, industrial revolution in the 21st century. It is also a rising new technology. Nano-materials and technology are very abundant in the research of nanotechnology. We have achieved considerable foundation and achievements in the research of nanomaterials. At present, there are six professors who are engaged in research in related fields.
The following is the scope of nanomaterials research:
1. Synthesis of Organic-inorganic Hybrid Nanocomposites by Sol-Gel Method, that applied to UV-cured plastic hard coatings and photoresists, and also study the interfacial properties between different phases.
2. Clay intercalation nanocomposites materials, used in high-performance engineering plastics and biomedical materials, focusing on the promotion of physical properties and discussion of phase interfaces.
3. The part of photo-catalysis antibacterial water repellent nano-coating, researchers research visible light catalytic antibacterial deodorant water repellent coatings that cooperated with precision ceramic powder research groups for improving the quality of the environment.
4. In the synthesis and application of dendrimer, researchers provide unique material design concepts and methods. In biomedical applications such as drug coating and cell culture, they have a high degree of biocompatibility of dendrimer. Photoelectric materials, such as nonlinear optical properties, electrical conductivity, etc., also show more delicate and more efficient nanostructure effects.
5. The research of rheological properties of nanocomposite processing is also continued.
In addition, we are also actively developing nanotechnology talents for training in response to future emerging industries.
